The hit television show Friends first aired on September 22, 1994. The series ran for ten seasons and has a grand total of two hundred and thirty-six episodes. Revolving around six friends living in New York City, viewers watch Ross, Chandler, Joey, Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe experience life and love with the support of their best friends.

• Before deciding on the title Friends, the creators considered the titles Friends Like Us, Insomnia Cafe, and Six of One.
• Friends had many guest appearances. Some famous names on that list include Robin Williams, Billy Crystal, Reese Witherspoon, Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, Julia Roberts, and Bruce Willis
• In the first season, each of the main six cast members received $22,000 per episode. By season 4, they banded together to negotiate a salary increase to $100,000 per episode. It was the first time in TV history that cast members had done this. By the final season, they each got $1,000,000 per episode.
• "I'll Be There for You", the show's theme song, was performed by the pop rock duo the Rembrandts.
